Springtime Records - Belgium Edition

418 EV's were sold, a new record edition, pulling the EV Share to 0,77%, with sales booming as they are (It seems fleet/company car buyers discovered the plug-in car, but more on that in a moment), the 1% barrier seems achievable this year.

Looking at the models ranking, for the third time in three months, there is a new leader in the YTD ranking, the Tesla Model S registered a record 139 units (Best monthly performance ever by a single model) and jumped three positions to #1, dropping to Second the Porsche Cayenne Plug-In, while the BMW i3 continued in #3.

Next is another member of the premium family, the Volvo V60 Plug-In is now #4, while the Nissan Leaf has dropped to #5, despite this, the japanese car is still the best non-premium car. As seven of the Top 10 selling cars are from premium brands, with the Outlander PHEV and Golf GTE known for being fleet buyers favorites, it seems that company car buyers are the main source of customers for EV's in Belgium.

In the manufacturers ranking, Tesla in now on the lead (22% Share), followed closely by Porsche (21%) and BMW (18%).
