Facebook-owned WhatsApp messaging platform has received an update today, bringing support for 3D Touch gestures on new iPhones to the popular software.
The update for WhatsApp brings the version up to 2.12.8, and its biggest new feature is support for Apple’s 3D Touch. This means that WhatsApp users will be able to access Peek and Pop for links embedded in messages, as well as images, contact cards, videos, as well as locations.
The update also includes optimizations for languages, and the standard bug fixes:
WhatsApp requires an iPhone with iOS 6.0 or later. The app is localized in English, Arabic, Bokmål, Norwegian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
