Planned camera sensor from Sony Xperia Z5: Samsung Galaxy S7

The Samsung Galaxy S7 could get the same camera sensor as the Sony Xperia Z5. Apparently, the Koreans are very interested to use Sony's sensor tip in their flagship.

The camera sensors from Sony are among smartphone manufacturers as the most popular. This suggests at least the market share of Japanese man who is currently at about 40 percent and could increase further in the future. Also Samsung is, according to a tipster currently apparently squinting on the Chinese portal Weibo on the Sony camera sensor IXM300 who comes in the current Xperia Z5 used. Actually, the Koreans are traditionally considered major competitor of Sony, when it comes to smartphone cameras.

Could be used the IXM300 accordingly also at the upcoming Galaxy S7. Apparently Samsung considered the Sony technology, compared to its own ISOCELL sensors currently considered superior or at least equal value. It is possible, however, that different versions of the Samsung Galaxy S7 brings in different countries on the market - some with Sony sensor and some with a camera of its own production.

As Samsung's own sensors have a resolution of 20 megapixels, while the Sony comes IXM300 reportedly at 25 megapixels, the resolution of the sensor have to be technically restricted. After all, Samsung is likely to have an interest in ensuring that every Galaxy S7 at the end offers the same camera resolution. Even in the current Xperia Z5 the Sony sensor is throttled to 23 megapixels.

Agreement between Sony and Samsung is still pending
Whether the Galaxy S7 at the end actually comes to the market with Sony cameras, is still unclear. Currently, both companies are located are in negotiations. Sony even want to keep the IXM300 prefer exclusively for the Xperia Z5. However, should the prospect to take a large order from Samsung on land, certainly have their charm. After counting the Galaxy S series the best-selling smartphone in the world.
