Surfaced Secret indoor navigation app for iOS

In Apple's App Store is on Sunday briefly an application surfaced, which is used for indoor navigation in buildings. The app, which is now disappeared, apparently relies on high frequencies.

Apple is apparently close to the release of a new app that will allow indoor navigation. As AppleInsider reported citing the developer Steve Troughton-Smith, the application named Indoor Survey dipped on Sunday briefly on the App Store iOS. Meanwhile, the program is no longer available, the possibly premature release of the app, however, revealed some information about the Navi application. So indoor Survey combines the Location apparently high frequencies and signals from the onboard sensors of the iPhone.

In the app description of indoor Survey says according to the report. "By putting points on a map in the Survey application, you mark your position within a resort, while passing're running While you do that, measures the Survey App high frequencies and combines it with the sensor data of the iPhone. " As AppleInsider speculated that development of the app could be related to the purchase of indoor Navi Company WiFiSLAM that Apple had acquired in 2013 for 20 million US dollars.

Google has for its mapping service Google Maps unlocked an indoor navigation a long time ago. However, the feature works only in selected buildings, for example, the Munich Airport. One problem for Google's solution is the GPS signal, which is often unavailable in buildings. Apple has with the indoor Survey app now may find an alternative route, the works without GPS. When the final application is published, however, is not known.
