Boasting of a Beautiful design, scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass lid; Comfortable keyboard; Very fast overall performance; Above-average battery life; Fast boot and transfer times, the Asus Zenbook UX301 is sure buy for those in need of a Windows 8.1 touch screen laptop with great sense of design. This notebook came in in 2013 but the good battery life keeps it in my top choice list like.
THE DESIGN
The design of the Asus Zenbook UX301 is obviously a departure from what Asus laptops used to look like - I mean that boring look. The new Zenbook UX301 ditches the company's tired spun-aluminum frame for a Gorilla Glass lid, creating some scratch-resistant eye candy. Be sure to keep a polish rag handy, however, as the lid is highly susceptible to fingerprints. By implication, the laptop can easily lose its beautiful if handled without care.
I must say I like how the ports on the Zenbook UX301 were neatly arranged. A USB 3.0 port sits on the right side of the UX301 with a mini- DisplayPort and a SD Card reader. Another USB 3.0 port, a mini-HMDI and jacks for headphones and power sit on the right.
GENERAL PERFORMANCE
The standard ASUS Zenbook UX301 features a large 2.8-GHz Intel Core i7-4558U processor with 8GB of RAM. With this, you won't be wrong to describe this laptop as a powerhouse. I had no lag when I streamed online videos, ran a full system scan on Avast anti virus with eight tabs opened each in Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome browser.

THE PRICE
Starting at N300.000 with the above configuration and other great features like voice command, etc, the Asus Zenbook UX301 is not a low budget laptop.
