So there I was as an invited guest to X Party 2015 a couple of week's back. For its’ anniversary bash, Xavier Mah Consultancy and XALF, together with official partners McLaren, played host to a chic crowd of 300 at the McLaren Kuala Lumpur showroom. Celebrities and the who’s who of Kuala Lumpur’s glitterati and social circuit swooped down and raised the roof, thanks to the free flow of drinks and canapés courtesy of Cointreau and La Casa.

It was a spectacular extravaganza with the crème de la crème of Malaysia’s keenest fashionistas and snazzy performances that thrilled those in attendance; nothing was more worth celebrating than the achievement of Xavier Mah and his team. Thus the much anticipated X Party 2015 (#xparty2015) is all about fashion, music and art held in conjunction with the celebration of Xavier Mah Consultancy’s and XALF’s 5th and 3rd anniversaries respectively.

And Xciting finale with celebrities and sponsors |
Divided into segments that are Xceptional (it’s an exceptional fashion event), Xuberant & Xtravaganza (letting imagination and creativity flourish), Xpress (express your talent), Xciting (the phenomenon of Jamais Vu) and Xquisite (sharing a beautiful and fun-filled experience), the party people were out in full force as this was the event to see and be seen.

Up-and-coming singer Nikki Palikat got the party started with her rendition of Beyonce’s Crazy in Love, who was a finalist on the first season of Malaysian Idol. This was followed by the welcome address by celebrity emcee Julie Woon. She elaborated on the Xavier Mah Consultancy and XALF and briefly introduced founder Xavier Mah to the delight of guests when he appeared from a McLaren 650s and a flourish of congratulatory videos from overseas celebrities showed their love for all that Xavier has accomplished in the field of public relations and beyond.

“Both XALF and Xavier Mah Consultancy are very close to my heart,” shares Xavier. “More than the blood, sweat and tears, it’s a culmination of my maturity as an individual and I believe that we all can achieve much if we simply just put our mind to it. Tonight is a celebration of everything that my team has achieved and together we will continue to grow from strength-to-strength. Hopefully, many more good years are in the pipeline.”

Xavier is also the brains behind fashion label XALF, which specialises in bespoke footwear for women with designs that have been worn by Mizz Nina, Datuk Yasmin Yusuff with Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh, notable Singaporean celebrities Irene Ang and Sharon Au and famed Japanese model Ai Tominaga. The label achieved much in the short three years since inception. Each and every pair of XALF exudes an appreciation for heritage and attention to detail with classic looks recreated with a modern touch. It started with the Xpression collection whereby feet measurements are taken and customisation for every whim and fancy is commissioned individually.

Attendees were also the first to view the complete XALF Eternal Love Wedding Collection and also a video presentation of the brand’s intricate bespoke process that eventually led to a Latin and hip-hop performance by nine-year-old wunderkind HouSon and So You Think You Can Dance Malaysia’s second season winner Cecilia Yong. The Eternal Love collection plays on concept of love and its romanticised notions throughout history.

Guests were then treated to a fashion show, where models and notable personalities such as supermodel Amber Chia, BFM’s Freda Liu and Adeline Chong, actresses Tengku Fiella and Chris Tong Bing Yu, along with Datin Winnie Loo from A Cut Above strutted down the catwalk flaunting XALF footwear including the brand’s latest worn by two gamely gentleman in actor and TV host Kit Mah and FlyFM New Morning Crew’s Denis Yin. Both of whom took their platforms and stilettos to new heights as rapturous applause and, occasional, cat calls proved that sometimes it is okay to let the fairer sex take the lead. Great party, awesome experience and here's to Xavier for pulling it off!
