At 49 Inches, This Model’s Legs Are Crowned America’s Longest

True beauty isn’t projected by the beholder. It only ultimately shines through inner acceptance and self love.

When we typically think of models (especially insanely gorgeous, perfectly-proportioned, leggy catwalk models), we normally don’t think that they have ever questioned their image or beauty. We don’t automatically think that other people have pointed at them behind their backs, or gossiped about them. However, that is certainly not the case.

There have been instances where people have shamed models on social media because their bodies didn’t fit a certain “mold.” But these incredible models have fought back, and, through heartwarming responses, have taught us the meaning of genuine confidence.

One model is extremely comfortable in her own skin. Texan Lauren Williams has ignored the gawking stares all her life, and has understood that what made her different actually gave her a leg up on everyone else. Through utilizing her uniqueness, she has made a life for herself, and has created an opportunity for others who have rare or peculiar features.

Everyone in Lauren Williams’ family is over 6 feet tall. The 26-year-old herself stands at 6’4, and currently holds the record for the longest legs in America.

“I’ve always had longer legs than everybody else, and not just longer legs — I’ve always been taller than everybody,” she said to Caters TV. The sports-lover has legs that measure 49 inches from hip to heel.

She models predominantly for sportswear and fitness brands, and struts high fashion catwalks. She finds that being tall does have its advantages, especially as many fashion houses these days often seek the “long and lean” look on models.

In addition to modeling, Williams also works at a children’s museum in Houston, and enjoys traveling outside of work.

“It’s interesting to me that this is a title I now hold,” she told The Daily Mail of her newfound fame. “I never realized that it would turn out to be such a big deal, but I’m really excited.”
