Mauricio Pochettino could leave Tottenham and become Manchester United manager next season.
That is according to BBC TV host Dan Walker, who claims he has been told by three different sources that the Tottenham boss could be on his way to Old Trafford.
"In the past 72 hours 3 knowledgeable individuals have suggested Pochettino to Old Trafford for next season! Interesting," Walker tweeted.
Current United boss Louis van Gaal has been under huge pressure and has been continuously linked with the axe throughout this season.
Mauricio Pochettino, Moussa Dembele, Jackson Martinez
Tottenham must fend off interest from Juventus if they want to sign Fulham striker Moussa Dembele.
The 19-year-old was set to join Spurs on deadline day who thought they had beaten fellow suitors Manchester United to his signing.
But the deal fell through as Fulham demanded Spurs return him on loan for the rest of the season.
Spurs are likely to renew their interest in the player when his contract at Craven Cottage expires in the summer, but they will now face competition from Juventus.
Italian publication Corriere dello Sport report that the Serie A side will move for him at the end of the season.
Tottenham have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Colombia striker Jackson Martinez.
The 29-year-old has been the subject of January interest from Spurs and Arsenal with both clubs said to be keen on acquiring his services.
However, they will miss out on signing him after he agreed a £31.8m move to Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande.
Martinez spent just six months at Atletico Madrid and scored just three goals while in Spain.
