Chinese smartphone maker ZTE, at MWC 2016, Barcelona announced a portable smart projector called Spro Plus. Even though, ZTE calls it a projector, it actually looks like a tablet, as it has a touchscreen display.
The ZTE Spro Plus uses Laser instead of LED technology, and allows for a maximum projection of 500 lumens WXGA resolution. It is capable of projecting 80-inch picture from a distance from 2.4 meters and can also be used for video conferencing, as it has an external camera and 2 x four watt JBL speakers.
The Spro Plus projector sports a 8.4-inch TFT QHD (1440 x 2560 pixels) AMOLED display and is powred by Snapdragon 801 SoC with 3GB RAM and 32GB or 128GB internal storage, and has a microSD card slot, that accepts up to 2TB microSD cards. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, supports WiFi, LTE (optional) connectivity and packs a massive 12100mAh battery.
The ZTE Spro Plus mobile projector will be available from mid-2016
