How to Get MTN 2GB data plan for N45 [works on all devices]

MTN has been one of the unstable internet service providers during the past weeks. I got complaints from some users about the MTN 6GB for N600 data plan not working, although it’s still working for some other users via the Jumia.com.ng proxy server, but still doesn’t work for the majority.

I know that by now, MTN must have swapped their 7.5GB data plan from most of their users due to the error they caused themselves. Anyway, I’ll be unveiling a working 2GB data plan for N45 that works on all devices and this would last unlike the music plus tweak that didn’t last that long.

Actually, the normal charge for the plan is N450, but some of us that tried it were lucky enough to be charged just N45 instead of N450. Anyways, N450 is still okay for the 2GB plan, so I would advise you’ve a minimum of N50 before trying to opt-in for the 2GB data plan.

How to opt-in for the 2GB data plan?

To opt-in, simply text T3 to 33988 and either N45 or N450 would be deducted from your credit balance. So it’s advisable you first try with the minimum of N50 on your device, and then try texting the message. If you’re lucky, you’ll receive a success message saying that you’ve successfully subscribed to MTN mobisafe backup and you’ll be given 2GB data. If you’re not lucky to get a success message, then you can credit your line with N450 and send the text. Alternatively, you can choose to opt-in for the 100MB data plan for N50 by texting TI to 33988 or the 1GB data for N250 by texting T2 to 33988.
