The BBP, Gastropub Style Restaurant @ The Club, Bukit Utama

It was a weekend of fun and food with the family over at The BBP Gastropub @ The Club, Bukit Utama last weekend. They serve good old fashion pork ribs, a wide selection of barbeque meats with mouth-watering sides and finger licking snacks. Styled to be kid and family-centric, it was all good.

The BBP, they didn't really tell us what it stands for, but what they do offer are high quality meat for a wholesome meal. Available at the Meat Station, we are able to handpick our favourite choice and part of the meat to be barbecued in front of us.

For those who wants some greens to go with their meat can head to The BBP's Salad Station where you can pick and choose your own fresh salad. Also found nearby would be an abundance of big and fresh Irish Oysters sold at RM10 per piece. It comes served with tomato juice on the side, and a slice of lime, refreshingly simple and nice.

The big and juicy fresh Irish oysters were served with Bloody Mary. Fresh, to be taken immediately, and raw, those who love oysters will love these. I still haven't gotten over my barrier of taking raw oysters. My foodie friends did mention its good.

We were served next with a platter to die for. Filled with pork meat of all types, just check out below on what they heaped unto our platter. I had lots of fun chomping down into meat, meat and more meat.

1. Pork Knuckle - Half at RM40 and Whole at RM75
2. BBQ Iberico Pork at RM40
3. Caramelized Pork Belly at RM18
4. Pork Bacon Mash Potato at RM6
5. Pork Sausage (Hungarian and Italy) at RM7 per piece
6. Charcoal garlic bread at RM12

A special mention has to be made of The BBP's pork knuckle. It's not easy to prepare it as I was told the chef had to soak it for a day in water first before being grilled for 2 hours. Love how crispy the skin is, perfect to be taken with a pint of beer.
